RACE REPORT HOTSPOT 5

 

Race 8 - HOTSPOT 5 from Murehwa, 454 km was liberated at 06.30 am on 30 May 2026. The sky was clear at liberation.  There was a 10km/hr headwind for the first 3 hours which changed to a 16km/hr cross wind. The maximum day time temperature was 18 degrees Celsius. The humidity was 80% down to 40%.
 
The first group arrived at 11.29 am with a velocity of 1515 m/min.
 
The 70 prize positions valued at US$ 55 200 were filled within 7 minutes.

  • 1107 in 60 min
  • 1450 on the 1st day
 
1585 birds had arrived when the raced closed on the 2nd day. 126 birds (7.4%) did not return in race time.
