Scheduled for tomorrow morning, 13 January from Jotsholo, 205km with a liberation time of 5.45 am.

Zimbabwe is suffering from a heat wave and temperatures on the race route are very high from mid-morning, climbing during the day. We have therefore decided to shorten Hotspot 5 to 205 km to enable pigeons to reach home before the temperatures are too high. The indications are that cooler weather is on the way and we are hoping that the final race weekend is cooler and suitable for racing. We will not delay Hotspot 5 to wait for more favourable conditions as the weather is unpredictable and any delay will encroach on the time needed to prepare the birds for the final race.

We wish to remind everyone that reserve pigeons must be paid for by the current participants holding the reserves before Saturday 20th January. If they are not activated by the participants holding them, the reserves will be available for anyone else to activate from 12 noon GMT on Saturday 20th January.

Any third party wishing to take up reserve birds may book them from Wednesday 17th January from 12 noon GMT by sending an email to admin@victoriafallswcpr.com The allocation will be on a first booked basis and must be by email.
