RACE REPORT HOTSPOT 3
Hotspot 3 from 318 km was raced on Saturday July 4th. The pigeons had a strong tail and crosswind and the first arrivals put up a high velocity of over 1800 m/m. Many of the later arrivals were blown past to the west and had to work their way back into a headwind. 2407 pigeons were sent to the race and 2260 returned by the time the clock was stopped with 6% missing at that stage.
The forecast for Hotspot 4 this coming Saturday is a strong headwind and higher temperatures. Training during the week continues from 60km with a direct headwind. The last training toss will be on Wednesday 8th July.
