RACE REPORT HOTSPOT 1 

We have now entered the main part of the competition with Race 4 (Hotspot 1) having been flown this last Saturday. The weather was clear with an assisting wind during the race. We had 2667 birds go to the race and 2610 return before the clock was stopped (2% short).

BUILD-UP TO HOTSPOT 2

We expect there to be little wind for Hotspot 2 this coming weekend. We Plan to have 3 training flights this week: Tuesday 60km, Wednesday 60km and then Thursday single basket releases.

Activations are now due for the following competitions by Thursday 25th June before basketing of Hotspot 2;

1. Normal Ace bird (best 7 of 10 races) - US$ 50 000 Prize Money

Please Note. Up to this point all pigeons have been in the Normal Ace including For Sale pigeons but only activated birds will remain from Hotspot 2.

2. Knock-out - US$ 20 000 Prize Money
3. Team Competition (select 5 birds by email to admin) - US$ 40 000 Prize Money

Please note. The Team Competition consists of 5 birds only. The team must be selected from the remaining pigeons under the same fancier or syndicate name. Birds cannot be transferred from different fanciers or syndicate entrants. Each fancier or syndicate can only enter 1 team and must email their 5 chosen birds to us. Fanciers may make up entries from activated “For Sale “pigeons.

There is no additional entry fee for the above competitions, but the Super Ace will have an additional entrance fee of US$ 250 and birds must be activated first.

The Super Ace selections and entry will be after Hotspot 2 and before basketing for HS 3 (by Thursday 2^nd July);

4. Super Ace - US$ 200 000 Prize Money

We had advised previously that we will give credits to lost Super Ace Birds and all For Sale pigeons as follows;

Lost before Hotspot 3             100%

Lost before Hotspot 4             50%

Lost before Hotspot 5             25%

Thereafter                               Nil

To ensure that all pigeons are timed we are using 2 x 12 field antennas on each trap. Each antenna is at a different level, so pigeons must enter in over the first antenna and then jump down to the second. This slows the entry through the trap sufficiently to ensure there are no missed pigeons. We have also done another ring check of all pigeons to ensure that all electronic rings are reading correctly.
