We are continuing with training at the VFWCPR lofts with short tosses from varying directions. Most of the pigeons are through the moult and in excellent condition. The diet of the pigeons has changed from a moult mixture to a racing mixture.

We have done some modifications to the traps to slow the rate in which pigeons cross the antennas and we have constructed a new loading bay with electronic scales to weigh baskets of pigeons to ensure approximate numbers in each basket when training. Up to now we have counted all birds into the baskets which is time consuming.

Our new transporter from the Netherlands has finally been cleared through the port and is in transit to Zimbabwe.

It is still unclear when the lockdown imposed will be lifted. At the moment we are restricted to tossing from a maximum of 20km whilst in lockdown.
